Is it possible for a 16-year-old to be granted the ACLS certification? If not, how do they get BLS?

It is not possible to obtain EMT certification is provided at any State for those who are less than 18 years of age. There are three types of EMTs. From the lowest to the most prestigious certification, they include: EMT Basic: It is BLS, which stands for Basic Life Support. CPR. Bandaging wounds. Splints. EMT B's cannot give substance whatsoever, and that includes Oxygen in the majority of jurisdictions since O2 is considered to be a drug. They aren't able to start IVs. They basically drive the ambulance and help Paramedics. An EMT Basic Ambulance can do just that, namely, package an individual for transportation and take their patient to the medical facility. Nearly every Fireman in America is an EMT Basic (some are trained even less and are just "First Responders"...essentially the same thing. Drug prohibition is not a requirement.
