It is not possible to obtain EMT certification is provided at any State for those who are less than 18 years of age. There are three types of EMTs. From the lowest to the most prestigious certification, they include: EMT Basic: It is BLS, which stands for Basic Life Support. CPR. Bandaging wounds. Splints. EMT B's cannot give substance whatsoever, and that includes Oxygen in the majority of jurisdictions since O2 is considered to be a drug. They aren't able to start IVs.
